ABOUT SOUNDVALLEY

SoundValley Festival 2017 will be the first music festival to be held in conjunction with Malaysia’s Largest Annual Autoshow i.e MALAYSIA AUTOSHOW 2017. The Festival venue will be at Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS).

Patrons of the festival, not only will enjoy performances from local and international artists, they will be able to visit Malaysia Autoshow 2017 and join their activities. All festival tickets come with a complimentary entrance to Malaysia Autoshow 2017.

SoundValley Festival is a TWO day festival featuring Local & International Legendary Bands.

ARTIST LINE-UP

 

Bloc Party is an English indie rock band, currently composed of Kele Okereke (lead vocals, rhythm guitar, keyboards, sampler), Russell Lissack (lead guitar, keyboards), Justin Harris (bass guitar, keyboards, saxophones, backing vocals) and Louise Bartle (drums, percussion). Bloc Party's brand of guitar rock draws on influences such as The Chemical Brothers, Pixies, Joy Division and The Smiths. Achievements of the band includes certified platinum in Britain, top of UK Albums Chart and several nominations for MTV Music Awards and NME awards.

 

Hujan is a Malaysian indie alternative rock band, consisting of Noh Salleh, Hezry Hafidz, Azham Ahmad, Hang Dimas and Izzat Uzaini. Past members include Nazeri Nazirul and Azhar Imran. Although the band identifies as alternative, but performs a wide variety of genre and styles in Malaysian music industry. Fans of Hujan are dubbed "Raingers", as the band's name translates to "rain" in Malaysian. The band began forming in 2005 after Noh uploaded some of his demos to Myspace. In 2006 the band was officially formed and they began to work on 1, 2, 3, Go!, their first EP while touring. In 2009 the band won the Anugerah Industri Muzik Awards for Best Rock Album and Best Rock Song. Reception for Hujan has been positive and the band is considered to be one of the leading examples of alternative music in Malaysia.

 

Bunkface is a Malaysian pop punk rock band from Malaysia formed in 2006. The band consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Sam (Shamsul Anuar), bass guitarist Youk (Farouk Jaafar), and lead guitarist Paan (Ahmad Farhan). Popular songs by Bunkface include Silly Lily, Situasi, Revolusi, Prom Queen, Through My Window, Ekstravaganza, Rentak Laguku, Malam Ini Kita Punya, Darah Muda and Masih Di Sini. The band is considered one of the prominent indie band in Malaysia. Achievements of the band includes Anugerah Kembara and Best Rock Song in AIM 2010, finalist in several Anugerah Juara Lagu, several nominations and awards for Shout Awards.

 

Since winning the prestigious Anugerah Musik Indonesia for Best Alternative Act and Rolling Stone Editors' Award for Best Live Act, Barasuara has since turn themselves into a powerhouse in the ever growing indie scene in Indonesia. Formed in 2012 in Jakarta, Indonesia, the band has managed to capture the Indonesian market with their brand of indie-folk-pop rock and are looking to build more on their recent successes.

 

The Otherside Orchestra which consist of Wan (guitar), Shima (Vocal), Azan (Bass) and Rashid (Drums) is an electro danceable rock and roll band from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. They are one of the hottest bands in the Malaysian independent music scene at the moment, they write super-danceable rift-driven rock music. The Otherside Orchestra has emerged as one of the best party bands from the independent scene.

 

LOUDNESS (ラウドネス) is a Japanese Hard Rock band formed in 1981 by guitarist Akira Takasaki and drummer Munetaka Higuchi. They were the first Japanese metal act signed to a major label in the United States, and reaching the Billboard Top 100.

 

We can’t talk about Malaysian Rock n’ Roll without mentioning MAY! These lifelong friends have embarked the road to success when they got together and created a band which is widely known today as MAY! Expect Mus’ powerful voice cords to bring you up to your feet for Sound Valley!

 

The legendary band that defined the way Malaysians view rock is coming to perform. Hit songs such as 'Sejati' and 'Misteri Mimpi Syakila' have made them a legend in the Malaysian music industry. So let's rock true Malaysian Rock n' Roll fans!

 

Check out the band that is rising to fame in the Malaysian music scene. FiftyOne50 performs in many gigs around Kuala Lumpur and cover various classical rock music.

 

Established themselves in the late 90s, Metalasia brings Progressive Heavy Metal into the Malaysian music scene. These heavy metal masters were once nominated for the “Best Hard Rock Album” category in Anugerah Industri Music (AIM). So expect sick guitar shreds, pure awesome drumming and powerful vocals.

 

Cassandra is a band that has been in the metal/hardcore game since 2002. They were raised to fame from Subang Jaya. Their lineup consists of Muhammad Khairul Anwar (Guitar), Muhammad Azhari (Gitar), Ahmad Jenatun (Bass), Mohd Syukri (Drum) dan Ahmad Kasyful Azim (Vokal).
